Hi, I’m Mark Paz, I’ve been riding motorcycles since the mid 1970’s, and have logged countless hours and miles in the saddle. I first learned to ride a motorcycle at age seventeen when my neighbor taught me to ride his dirt bike. After that I went for years thinking I knew how to ride a motorcycle.
In 1991 my work with the F.B.I afforded me the opportunity to receive formal instruction from the Los Angeles Police Department Motorcycle Training Unit. On my first day there I realized that I really had a lot to learn. When I finished, I could finally say that I knew how to ride a motorcycle. I rode surveillance for many years and became the Los Angeles Division Motorcycle Training Coordinator for the F.B.I. helping train other agents to ride undercover, and on surveillance.
Since that time I have wanted to share these enforcement riding techniques with the motorcycling community. In 2006 I became a certified and accredited rider coach for the California Motorcycle Safety Program, and the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. In 2007 I went out to Florida, met with Jerry Palladino who started Ride Like A Pro, and helped teach one of his classes. When I got back to California, Ride Like a Pro West Coast was born.
If you ever wanted to learn to Ride Like A Pro on someone elses bike, then now is the time! This year I added a fleet of Kawasaki KZ1000 Police Motorcycles. These Training Bikes are just the right tool to learn the Ride Like A Pro techniques without worrying about dropping your own bike!
I look forward to hearing from you.
Mark Paz
